Marking the 1700th anniversary of announcing Christianity as the state religion in Georgia, the representatives of the Georgian clergy visited Strasbourg at the joint initiative of the Georgian Government and the Patriarchate of Georgia.
 
A meeting with the members of the Georgian diaspora living in Strasbourg was facilitated by the Permanent Representation of Georgia to the Council of Europe and the Department for Diaspora of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia.
 
The meeting aimed to strengthen the idea of ​​“Language, Homeland, Faith” among compatriots living abroad and to inform them about the latest development in the Georgian Orthodox Church.
