The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Ilia Darchiashvili met with the Secretary General of the Council of Europe, Marija Pejčinović Burić, within the framework of the 132nd Ministerial Meeting of the Council of Europe.
The Georgian Foreign Minister thanked the Secretary General of the Council of Europe for hosting the Ministerial together with the Italian Presidency.
Discussions focused on Georgia's successful cooperation with the Council of Europe on all important issues.
The sides welcomed the priority importance of the issue of Georgia’s occupied territories on the agenda of the Council of Europe.
Darchiashvili thanked the Secretary General for preparing the annual consolidated report on the Conflict in Georgia, while Pejčinović Burić reaffirmed her readiness to keep the issue of Georgia high on the Organisation's agenda.
