18.05.2017, Nicosia – Georgian Foreign Minister Mikheil Janelidze paid a visit to the Republic of Cyprus on 18 and 19 May 2017 where he will participate in the 127th Session of the CoE Committee of Ministers.
One of the key issues on the agenda of the ministerial meeting will be the conflicts in Europe and the Council of Europe’s role in their resolution. Georgian Foreign Minister Mikheil Janelidze will speak before the participants of the meeting about the difficult human rights situation in Georgia’s occupied territories.The participants of the ministerial meeting will pay special attention to the CoE Secretary General's consolidated report on the Conflict in Georgia.
The Foreign Ministers of the CoE Member States will discuss such challenges as the fight against terrorism, destruction of cultural monuments and migration. Within the framework of the visit, the Foreign Minister will hold bilateral meetings with his colleagues.
